Current Coaching Status:
Keagan Pontious returns to the Pure Advantage coaching staff for her seventh summer. Pontious is in her fifth season at Hope College as the Head Coach. She led the Dutch to back-to-back undefeated MIAA Conference Championship and NCAA tournament birth. The Dutch finished the season 13-5.
Playing History:
In 2019, Pontious finished up playing DII lacrosse at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Her senior year, she was named a NCAA Division II Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse All-American and helped Seton Hill advance to the NCAA tournament for the first time. She finished her career leading the PSAC Conference in Draw Controls.
Current Coaching Status:
Angelica Gero returns to the Pure Advantage coaching staff for her fifth summer. Coach Gero is entering her first year at the helm of the Kenyon College women’s lacrosse program. Before residing in Ohio, she was the Head Coach at Aquinas College for six years.

Playing History:
Coach Gero attended Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ. While at GCU Gero was a member of the 1st recruited class to start the women’s lacrosse program. She was a 4 year starter and a 2 time first team all conference defender in the first two years that the Lions joined their conference. Her senior year Gero helped lead the team to the first conference championship in program history.

Current Coaching Status:
Maddie Yakes is entering her fourth summer with the Pure Advantage coaching staff. Yakes is a Hope College 2024 graduate goalkeeper with a degree in neuroscience, with psychology and biology minors. She is pursuing a Master’s in Speech- Language Pathology at Grand Valley State University.

Playing History:
Yakes finished her career at Hope College with an overall save percentage of 44.4%, tallying a record-breaking 487 career saves. During the 2024 season, she was awarded IWLCA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team and All- MIAA First Team. She also received Player of the Week honors during the playoff season. Yakes is a Rockford High School alumni.
Current Coaching Status:
Carli Taylor is joining the Pure coaching staff for the first time this summer.
Playing History:
Taylor graduated from Aquinas College in 2023 after a decorated five year playing career under Coach Gero. She received WHAC All-American honors and CSC Academic All-District Team.

Current Coaching Status:
Paige Rosenbrook is starting her first summer coaching with Pure Advantage. Rosenbrook is finishing off a second season coaching at Forest Hills Northern/Eastern High School where she is the head coach of JV and assists with Varsity. She currently works full time as a Mechanical Engineer at Dematic.
Playing History:
Rosenbrook started her lacrosse career in 5th grade. She went to Haslett High School where she played defense and received multiple All-Conference and All-Area awards. Following high school, she attended Hope College where she played attack for four years. Rosenbrook was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and served as a captain during her time at Hope.
Current Coaching Status:
Theadora Krueger returns to the Pure Advantage coaching staff for her first summer after coaching with Pure in the fall.

Playing History:
Krueger began her lacrosse career as a goalie before transitioning to a field player during her junior year at Homestead High School (WI). Realizing that she wanted to pursue this path in college, Krueger now plays as a midfielder at Davenport University. After her junior year, she received Second Team All-GLIAC honors for the third consecutive season and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Currently she leads the conference in Shots on Goal Percentage. She also started as goalie in one game this season.
Julia Brown

Current Coaching Status:
Brown enters her second summer as an assistant coach for the Rising Stars program. Brown has also helped assist the Forest Hills Central middle school program.

Playing History:
Julia Brown graduated from Forest Hills Central in 2022, where she was a four year varsity starter. Brown is a junior at Hope College, where she completed her last two years receiving All-Conference and All-Region awards.
Current Coaching Status:
After helping around last summer at pure, Lili bouwma is returning as an assistant coach. She has also helped coach a club team while away at college in South Carolina.
Playing History:
Lili Bouwma graduated from Grand Rapids Christian in 2022, where she remained a 4 year varsity starting attacker. Lili is a junior at Anderson University in South Carolina, where she is continuing her athletics playing division II lacrosse. Lili was also able to be a part of Andersons Inaugural women’s lacrosse team this year.

Current Coaching Status:
Gabby Hendricks enters the Pure coaching staff for the first time as a summer intern.

Playing History:
Hendricks is a current player at Jacksonville University (FL) pursuing her career as a nursing student. She is an alum of Forest Hills Central where she was a two year First Team All-Conference winner and First Team All-State. Hendrick's senior year she was named a USA Lacrosse All-American.
Current Coaching Status:
Shannon Murphy enters the Pure coaching staff for the first time as a summer intern. Murphy is a current sophomore at Marquette University.
Playing History:
Murphy appeared in three games at Marquette during her freshman year. Prior to Marquette, she was a four-year letterwinner at Forest Hills Central High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Selected as an All-American her senior year and earned first team All-State honors in 2023 and second team honors in 2022. She was a three-time All-Conference selection from 2021-2023.
Megan Bushart

Megan Bushart enters the Pure coaching staff for the first time as a summer intern.

Playing History:
Megan Bushart just graduated from Caledonia High School in 2024 where she was a 4 year varsity starting defender. Bushart broke 5 of her school records in the past two seasons with most draw controls in a game, caused turnovers in a career, game and season, and most ground balls in a career. Bushart received all-conference and all-state honors both her junior and senior year and plans on playing lacrosse at Hope College in the fall.
